I made this drawing while my dear childhood friend was expecting her first child. Sharing this moment with her meant a great deal to me, and I wanted to create something that said to her : you've got this, you're supported, you're loved and you’re held.

I believe pregnancy and parenthood aren’t meant to be carried alone. We all need a village, and every expecting parent deserves that sense of community around them.

As I was working on it, I liked keeping it close and taking it with me. Working on it wherever I was or in between moments. Celebrating friendship and the beginning of motherhood.
